LINNEA SKOGLÖSA is a Swedish artist based in London, primarily occupied with concepts of emotional interactions and power systems, with a heightened focus on how technology-driven consumer culture affects our desire for disembodiment. Skoglösa’s practice includes paintings as well as everyday objects such as wellness products, industrial hardware and screens, which she deconstructs and re-contextualises to create new orders. The work invites viewers to question the fatigue and accelerated emotional states caused by endless feedback loops and self-improvement obsessions online.
Skoglösa graduated from The Slade School of Fine Art in 2023 and started at the Royal Academy Schools in Autumn 2024. Her work was the subject of a solo presentation at Glasshouse at Gathering, London (2023), and has been included in group shows at Soft Commodity, London (2023); Studio Chapple, London (2023); Factory Lithium, Lisbon (2023); Barbican Church, London (2022); Changing Room Gallery, London (2022); La Gaite Lyrique, Paris (2022), The Fitzrovia Gallery, London (2021); Cambridge University, Cambridge (2020); Alvaro Barrington’s studio, London (2019); LUX, London (2019), amongst others.
