ISABELLA BENSHIMOL TORO (b. 1994, Caracas, Venezuela) is a London-based Venezuelan artist whose work explores themes of intimacy, domesticity, and the ephemeral nature of everyday life. Her multidisciplinary practice encompasses sculpture, installation and photography. She is particularly interested in capturing and preserving transient actions, gestures, and sensations associated with domestic life. Utilising materials such as used clothing, epoxy resin, silicone, and found personal objects, she creates works that serve as “monuments to the unconscious,” freezing ephemeral moments in time.

Benshimol Toro has been the subject of solo exhibitions at Les Vitrines at Institut Français, Berlin (2025) curated by Indira Béraud; ZÉRUÌ, London (2024), 11 Grosvenor Place, London (2024) curated by Mathilde Friis and Gonzalo Herrero; and presented a site-specific installation in collaboration with Paloma Wool, Milan (2024). Group presentations include Artagon Pantin, Paris (2025); Guts Gallery, London (2024); Gnossienne Gallery, London (2024); Triangolo at Palazzo Guazzoni, Cremona (2024); Des Bains, London (2024); ZÉRUÌ, London (2023); Hacienda la Trinidad, Caracas (2022); piloto pardo, hosted by Cecilia Brunson Projects, London (2022); Moarain House (now Rose Easton), London (2022); Korai, Nicosia (2021); Galería Elba Benitez, Madrid (2021); CCCC Centro del Carme Cultura Contemporánea, Valencia (2021); Timothy Taylor Gallery, New York, curated by Rose Easton (2021); Intersticio (now Belmonte), Madrid (2021); amongst others.
